Moorlands Rest Home

Moorlands Rest Home provides personal care for up to 12 older people, some with dementia. The service operates from a residential building arranged over two floors, with communal lounge and dining areas on the ground floor and a rear garden. At inspection, nine people were living at the home.

People experienced safe care from staff who understood how to protect them from abuse and avoidable harm. Risks were assessed and managed safely in ways that promoted residents' freedom and independence. The home deployed enough suitable staff with the right mix of skills, competence and experience to support people effectively.
