Could the NHS fund Mill Hayes's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
Mill Hayes provides care and support to autistic people, people with a learning disability and those with mental health needs. The home currently accommodates 7 people in an adapted building with a self-contained living area, communal rooms, conservatory and large garden. There are kitchens both downstairs and upstairs for residents to use.
Medicines are managed with a focus on independence and STOMP principles, minimising unnecessary medication. During the inspection, some discrepancies were found between stock levels and paperwork, which the provider addressed immediately by improving systems, training and quality processes. Staff support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, using the least restrictive approach possible. Residents are able to personalise their home and bedrooms, reflecting their individual preferences and identities.
