About Mill Hayes

Mill Hayes is a residential care home in Staffordshire, providing personal care for autistic people, people with a learning disability and people with mental health needs. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Mill Hayes is a care home providing personal care for up to 7 autistic people, people with a learning disability and people with mental health needs. Five people were living there at the time of the assessment, which followed concerns raised by visiting professionals about safe care and treatment.

The CQC rated the service requires improvement overall, down from good, after finding breaches relating to safe care and treatment and governance. Risks to people were not always properly assessed, care plans were not kept up to date, and health monitoring was inconsistent. However, people and relatives described staff as kind, felt safe and supported, and said they had choice, access to the community and involvement in decisions.
