About Middleton

Middleton is a residential care home based in Rochdale, offering a familiar and supportive environment for those who call it home. The team there understands how important it is for families to feel confident and at ease when choosing care for a loved one, and that sense of trust sits at the heart of everything they do.

This service provides accommodation and personal care for up to seven people with a learning disability and/or mental health diagnosis. At the time of inspection, all seven places were occupied. Staff had received relevant training and sufficient numbers were employed to support people safely and effectively, helping them maintain their independence.

The home provided good quality accommodation and allowed visitors without restrictions.

However, improvements were needed in medicines management and administration to ensure people's safety. Care records required updating, though a new system was being introduced to address this. Overall, people were cared for in the way they wanted and needed, with access to the support required to live as independently as possible.
