Middleton

This service provides accommodation and personal care for up to seven people with a learning disability and/or mental health diagnosis. At the time of inspection, all seven places were occupied. Staff had received relevant training and sufficient numbers were employed to support people safely and effectively, helping them maintain their independence. The home provided good quality accommodation and allowed visitors without restrictions.

However, improvements were needed in medicines management and administration to ensure people's safety. Care records required updating, though a new system was being introduced to address this. Overall, people were cared for in the way they wanted and needed, with access to the support required to live as independently as possible.
