Merwood Rest Home provides personal care to 13 older people, with capacity for up to 16 residents. During inspection, the home had implemented comprehensive infection control measures including twice-weekly testing of staff and residents, hand sanitiser and personal protective equipment available throughout, and signage reminding everyone about hygiene and social distancing practices. A designated visiting area at the front of the home allowed socially-distanced visits without visitors entering the building.

All authorised visitors were appropriately checked at the door to ensure safety.
