Meadowcroft Residential Care Home

Meadowcroft provides personal and nursing care to up to 17 people, supporting both younger and older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 15 people were using the service.

People were safe at the home and staff understood how to protect them from abuse. Risk assessments had been completed for those at risk, and staff were aware of the management plans in place. Staffing levels were adequate to support people safely and recruitment procedures were appropriate.

However, systems for medicines administration were not effective. Medicines stock records were inaccurate and medicines were not always stored safely, presenting a concern for the quality of medication management at the service.
