Matthias House

Matthias House accommodates up to 33 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 31 residents were living there. The home is registered to provide personal care.

People felt safe with sufficient numbers of safely recruited staff who understood the risks to residents and how to support them appropriately according to their care needs. Staff ensured people received their medication as prescribed by their GP, with trained staff managing administration. Accidents and incidents were responded to promptly, documented, and analysed to identify lessons for improvement.

Residents were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff facilitating decision-making in line with their preferences and needs.
