About Marlborough House

Marlborough House is a nursing home in Hampshire, providing care for older people. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

Marlborough House provides residential care and support for older people. The CQC carried out a focused review after concerns were raised about safety, care, risk and nutrition management, and found four breaches of legal regulations, leaving the home rated Requires Improvement overall.

Inspectors found gaps in recruitment checks, staff deployment, risk assessment, medicines oversight and record keeping, with governance needing strengthening. People were not always involved in decisions about their own care. However, relatives spoke warmly of kind, respectful staff, and felt welcomed, well informed and able to raise concerns with the management team.
