Mapleford Nursing home

Mapleford Nursing home provides nursing and personal care for up to 54 people, including older adults, younger adults with physical disabilities or sensory impairments, and people living with dementia or mental health needs. The CQC rated the service Good overall, following an earlier requires improvement rating and breaches linked to person-centred care, safety and governance. Inspectors found the provider had made real progress since then.

People were treated kindly and relatives raised no safety concerns. Some issues remained: medicines management and individual risk records were not always consistent, care records could be hard to follow, and staff communication skills varied. The registered manager was addressing these areas at the time of the assessment.
