Magdalen Close Hostel

Magdalen Close Hostel provides residential care for up to 22 people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities, dementia, or autism. The service operates four houses for long-term and short-term residents, plus separate flats supporting people preparing for independent community living. At inspection, sixteen people were using the service.

The premises were very clean and hygienic, with cleaning schedules in place for high-touch points and regular checks to ensure completion. Staff had access to appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and handwashing and sanitising facilities. The registered manager maintained clear systems for recording COVID-19 testing for people and staff, along with records of influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations, enabling effective action when required.
