Lyme Bay View Residential Home

Lyme Bay View is a large period property overlooking the sea on the outskirts of Seaton, with a landscaped garden residents can access with support. The home provides accommodation with personal care for up to 30 older people with long-term medical conditions or memory loss. At inspection, 24 people were using the service, including four receiving respite care.

Residents reported feeling happy and safe. Medicines were managed safely and recruitment systems were secure. Staffing levels had been increased to ensure people's needs were met consistently. Staff received safeguarding training and understood how to respond to safeguarding concerns. Risks to people and the environment were identified and well managed. The home supported residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches and acting in residents' best interests.
