Lawford Lodge

Lawford Lodge provides respite care for young people aged 18 to 25 with profound disabilities and complex medical needs, supporting up to two people at a time. Staff demonstrate strong safeguarding awareness and understand the signs and symptoms of abuse or harm, with confidence that management will respond appropriately to any concerns raised. People feel safe, and staffing levels are sufficient to meet individual needs while staff maintain good knowledge of each person's risks and how to minimise them without unnecessary restrictions.

The service maintains robust recruitment processes and supports people to have maximum choice and control during their stays. Staff apply least restrictive practices aligned with people's best interests, and understand the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and how these apply within the service. Policies and systems are in place to support these practices consistently.
