Residents reported being happy and described staff as kind and caring, though staff noted they were often busy and felt understaffed. The registered manager subsequently reviewed dependency levels and committed to increasing staffing numbers.

The home had systems for safe medicine storage, but these were not working effectively—one person had not been receiving prescribed medicines and the issue had not been properly escalated. The registered manager took immediate action during the inspection. Risk assessments covered mobility, falls, and malnutrition, though further improvements were needed for monitoring people with catheters. The registered manager confirmed changes to this system following the inspection.
