Langdale House Residential Home

Langdale House Residential Home accommodates up to 12 people with mental health needs across two floors in an adapted building with lift access. At inspection, seven people were living permanently and one was receiving respite care.

The service required improvements in several key areas. Staff needed clearer written guidance to support people safely, with better recording of when care and support was provided. Infection prevention and control measures, particularly environmental cleaning, were not sufficiently robust. Fire safety procedures required further attention to ensure residents' safety. The home's systems for monitoring health and safety, and processes for developing and improving the service, also needed review.
