Kirklands

Kirklands is a residential care home for up to 40 older people, some of whom may be living with dementia. The home is divided into four distinct areas, each with access to a small kitchen and a lounge/dining area. People have single bedrooms with ensuite facilities, and there are suitable shared facilities and a pleasant garden. The home does not provide nursing care.

Residents and their relatives reported feeling safe, with staff having received appropriate training in protecting vulnerable adults. The home has robust vetting procedures to ensure staff are suitable to work with vulnerable people. Accidents and incidents are responded to appropriately, with their causes analysed. Staff receive suitable induction, training and development, and team members understand people's needs and have the right experience for their roles. Recent ownership changes have been managed while maintaining the same registered manager, management team and staffing.
