Jah Jireh Maryport

Ja Jireh Maryport is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 20 people in single bedrooms, some with en-suite facilities, across two floors. The home had comprehensive policies and procedures to manage COVID-19 risks, including protocols for people with positive diagnoses. People living in the home and their relatives were supported to maintain contact through various means, including online visiting when in-person visits weren't possible.

The home implemented a programme of regular COVID-19 testing for residents, staff, and visitors. All visitors, including professionals, underwent screening procedures including vaccination verification and negative lateral flow tests before entry. Staff had received updated training on personal protective equipment use and wore it correctly. An ample supply of PPE and hand sanitiser was readily available throughout the service, with clear signage reminding staff of their responsibilities. Daily cleaning schedules were implemented by housekeepers, with all staff involved in touch point cleaning.
