Kingston Rehabilitation Centre

Kingston Rehabilitation Centre is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care for up to 36 people, including specialist tracheostomy care, neurological rehabilitation and support for long-term complex disability and learning disability. At the time of assessment, 28 people were using the service, which is rated Requires Improvement overall.

Inspectors found that quality systems were not always effective, with recurring issues despite improvement plans, and no registered manager in post. Staff did not always receive regular supervision, and medicines management needed improvement. Most people spoke positively about staff, describing them as kind and good, though observations found care was not always consistently person centred.

The CQC found breaches relating to safe care, staffing and governance.
