Kimwick Care Home

Kimwick Care Home provides accommodation and care for people with a learning disability and autistic people. The CQC rated the service inadequate overall and has taken enforcement action, placing it into special measures after finding no improvement since the last inspection, with several areas having deteriorated further.

Inspectors found breaches relating to safe care and treatment, unsafe premises and equipment, a lack of person-centred support, and weak governance. People were not always helped to build independence or take part in meaningful activities, risks were not properly managed, and those with communication needs were not always heard.
