About Kilburn Care Centre

Kilburn Care Centre is a nursing home in Derbyshire, providing residential and nursing care for older people and younger adults, including some living with dementia. Full details from the CQC's most recent inspection are set out below.

Kilburn Care Centre is a purpose-built residential and nursing home supporting older people and younger adults, some living with dementia or with nursing needs. It can accommodate up to 49 people, though only 27 were being supported at the time of the assessment, with part of the lower ground floor temporarily out of use while the provider reviewed its future.

The home had previously been rated Requires Improvement, with breaches around governance, safe care and notifying the CQC of incidents. Inspectors found these issues had been resolved, with a good learning culture, safe staffing levels, well-managed medicines and visible, supportive leadership. People and relatives spoke positively about improvements, feeling safe, well cared for and confident concerns would be addressed.
