Kent House

Kent House provides personal care and accommodation for up to 40 people aged 65 and over, most of whom are living with dementia. At inspection, 33 people were resident at the service. The home maintained safe visiting arrangements that followed government guidance, with visitors required to provide a confirmed negative lateral flow test and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Staff also took daily lateral flow tests before work. The registered manager ensured visits were facilitated in exceptional circumstances, such as end of life care, and supported people whose relatives could not visit in person through telephone and video calls. Managers felt empowered to manage the risks associated with COVID-19 within their service.
