About Horizon House

Horizon House is a nursing home in North Yorkshire, providing care for older people and younger adults with mental health needs. The findings below set out what the CQC observed on inspection.

Horizon House provides personal and nursing care for up to seven people, supporting older people and younger adults with mental health needs. At inspection, the home was operating at full capacity with seven residents.

People were safe, with systems in place to protect them from abuse and risks assessed and recorded. However, records did not always contain complete information about actions taken to manage identified risks, and the inspector made a recommendation to strengthen risk management documentation.

Staff demonstrated knowledge of residents' individual preferences and needs, providing person-centred care. People had care plans in place that outlined their goals and desired outcomes.
