Hopton Cottage Care Home

Hopton Cottage Care Home is a purpose-built care home with 62 bedrooms, predominantly on the ground floor, providing personal care to people over 65, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 51 people were using the service. The home had implemented strong infection prevention and control measures, with donning and doffing stations and PPE available throughout the building. All staff had received training in infection prevention and COVID-19 safety procedures. A bedroom with external patio doors had been converted into a dedicated visiting room early in the pandemic to enable safe visits when permitted, and people were supported to maintain regular contact with friends and family.
