Hillcroft House

Hillcroft House provides accommodation and personal care for up to 43 people, with 36 residents at the time of inspection, most living with varying levels of dementia. People felt safe at the home and were observed to be at ease with staff. Safeguarding policies and processes were in place with appropriate staff training, and risks to residents were regularly assessed with measures to mitigate them, including timely healthcare referrals. Safe management of medicines was maintained throughout the service.

Staff supported residents to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible, with policies and systems in place to support this practice. Sufficient safely recruited staff were on shift to meet people's needs. The provider had addressed previous concerns identified at inspection and was no longer in breach of regulations.
