Hillcrest Residential Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 19 people, including those living with dementia. Fire exits were found blocked during the inspection, and audits lacked detailed analysis to drive improvement, though the deputy manager, who was covering the registered manager role, responded promptly to concerns raised.

Inspectors found staff generally kind and caring, with people's preferences known and legal safeguards for mental capacity in place. However, feedback was mixed, with reports of little meaningful activity, unprofessional comments on one occasion, and some dissatisfaction with food. Staff also described feeling unsupported and not always listened to by management.
