High Cross House

High Cross House supports up to 9 people with learning disabilities or autism. At the time of inspection, all 9 registered places were occupied. People and their relatives reported feeling safe and supported. Risks were appropriately assessed and managed, enabling people to participate in activities they enjoyed. Staff supported residents to make choices and maintain control over their lives, using the least restrictive approaches in their best interests. Visitors were welcomed without restrictions in line with best practice guidance.

The home safeguards people from abuse and harm through adequate staffing levels and safe recruitment processes. Staff deliver support according to individual preferences and care plans. People receive their medicines safely, and the service maintains effective infection prevention and control practices to protect residents from infection risk.
