About Henley House

Henley House is a residential care home in Suffolk, providing accommodation and personal care for older people, some of whom are living with dementia. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Henley House provides accommodation and personal care to up to 66 older people, some living with dementia, across three floors. At the time of inspection, 42 people were using the service. Risk assessments and medicine management systems were appropriate, and staff had received safeguarding training to protect people from harm.

Staff were recruited safely and supported with relevant training and professional development opportunities. Infection prevention and control systems were in line with best practice and current legislation.

Care plans were detailed, person-centred and accurate, promoting choice and guiding staff on how to support people safely while encouraging independence. However, there was mixed feedback about staffing levels in the home, including concerns about the organisation and deployment of staff during shifts and their ability to meet people's needs. The inspection made a recommendation about staffing arrangements.
