Heathlands Care Centre

Heathlands Care Centre is a purpose-built home in Bath providing residential and nursing care for up to 46 people, with 26 living there at the time of assessment. The CQC found two breaches relating to safe care and governance, with gaps in risk monitoring, record-keeping and recruitment checks. Management oversight was inconsistent, as the manager had operated largely without on-site provider support since September 2025.

Despite this, inspectors found notable improvements, and the home is no longer in Special Measures. People and relatives spoke positively about staff and the manager, describing a caring, attentive approach and a clean, welcoming environment. Some families felt weekend staffing could be improved, and television access issues caused frustration.
