Headroomgate

Headroomgate provides personal care for up to 19 older people with needs related to mental health, ageing, physical disabilities, or dementia. The home is a large house with mainly single bedrooms, gardens, and parking in a residential area close to public transport. At the time of inspection, 18 people lived there.

People felt safe and well looked after by staff. Staff assessed and managed risks appropriately while supporting residents to remain as independent as possible, and they managed medicines as prescribed. There were enough staff to meet care needs, and the home maintained good standards of cleanliness and infection control. Residents received adequate food and drink tailored to their dietary requirements, and staff supported prompt access to healthcare professionals to address health and wellbeing needs. The service supported people to have maximum choice and control in their lives, with staff adopting least restrictive practices.
