Haslingden Hall and the Lodge

Haslingden Hall and the Lodge is a purpose built care home in a residential area of Haslingden, Lancashire, providing care and accommodation for up to 76 people including those living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. At the time of inspection, 46 people were accommodated in the home. People told inspectors they felt safe and were happy with the service provided. Staff had received safeguarding training and access to relevant policies and procedures, with sufficient numbers deployed to meet people's needs and ensure safety. Recruitment procedures had been improved to ensure prospective staff were suitable.

Medicines were administered safely and risk assessments enabled people to retain their independence while receiving appropriate support. The premises maintained satisfactory cleanliness standards and were protected from infection risks. People were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff supporting them in the least restrictive way possible through policies and systems that reflected this commitment.
