Hartwell Lodge Residential Home

Hartwell Lodge Residential Home provides personal care to up to 32 people, some of whom live with dementia. At inspection, 30 people were using the service. Quality assurance systems have improved since the last inspection and are overall effective in ensuring people receive safe and high-quality care. However, audits require improvement in relation to topical medicines and Legionnaires disease prevention.

Staff demonstrate awareness of risks related to people's care and know how to support people appropriately. They understand how to raise concerns and whistleblow both within the organisation and externally should the need arise. People are supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives, with staff providing appropriate assistance.
