Hafod Residential Home

Hafod Residential Home provides personal care for up to 16 adults, including people living with dementia, learning disabilities or mental health conditions. The CQC found the service required improvement overall. Governance systems, fire safety, hazardous materials in the garden, and building upkeep needed attention, and there was no registered manager in post at the time, though the management team had already begun making changes.

Staff were described by families as caring and skilled, and menus had improved to offer more choice and healthier options. However, inspectors found limited activities and staffing pressures reduced outings and community access, and relatives wanted more involvement in care planning and clearer guidance on complaints.
