Greenbanks

Greenbanks provides personal care to up to 66 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 56 people were using the service. Inspectors found significant concerns including incomplete care records that lacked information needed for safe care, poor medicines management, and staff who did not consistently report safeguarding concerns. There was no evidence of learning from incidents. Recruitment processes had not always been safe, and staffing levels were sometimes inadequate for the number of people needing support.

Staff did not consistently support people to make choices or enable them to live in the least restrictive way possible. Some staff lacked necessary skills to provide quality care. The home's monitoring processes for safety and quality were ineffective, and some staff were not always open and honest when mistakes occurred. The newly appointed leadership team demonstrated good understanding of these issues and had developed plans to address them.
