Gittisham Hill House

Gittisham Hill House, near Honiton, Devon, provides nursing and personal care for up to 39 people, most living with dementia or memory loss. The CQC rated the service good overall, finding staff caring, patient and attentive, with people saying they felt safe and well supported.

Inspectors found risks to people's health were identified and managed well, with enough staff available to spend meaningful time with residents. A well-being team ran daily activities, and staff supported people's independence and choice. The service was found to be working within the Mental Capacity Act, with appropriate legal authorisations sought where needed.
