Garlands Residential Care Home Limited

Garlands provides personal care to up to 20 people aged 65 and over in a converted property with communal areas on the ground floor and bedrooms on both levels. People are protected from abuse and avoidable harm, with previous concerns about fire safety, equipment safety, premises condition and cleanliness now addressed. Staff recruitment follows safe procedures and adequate staffing levels ensure people's needs are met. Medicine administration is safe and people receive support to eat and drink.

Staff are trained during induction with ongoing development and regular supervision throughout their employment. The service promotes maximum choice and control for residents, supporting them in the least restrictive way possible. Where people lack the capacity to make decisions, the home carries out capacity assessments and makes decisions in their best interests in line with relevant policies and procedures.
