Garlands Residential Care Home Limited

Garlands Residential Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 23 people, including older people with care needs. At the time of the CQC's assessment, 19 people were living there. Inspectors found staff knew people well, and people and relatives were largely positive about care, food and daily life, with some noting improvements in weight, mood and mobility.

However, the home remains in breach of regulations on good governance. Audits failed to pick up problems with medicines records, incident recording and staff files, and there was no clear system for staff to learn from incidents. Staffing structures were unclear, with some feedback about staffing levels also negative.
