Fryers House - Care Home with Nursing Physical Disabilities

Fryers House is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care to adults with physical disabilities, supporting 15 people at the time of assessment. The CQC found notable improvement since the last assessment, with more person-centred care, better activities, stronger engagement and improved decision-making involvement. People spoke positively about a newly appointed interim manager and felt more listened to and valued.

However, inspectors found continued shortfalls in medicines management and staff recruitment, leaving people exposed to ongoing risk of harm. The provider remained in breach of regulations covering safe care, recruitment and governance. Leadership had strengthened but was not yet fully embedded, so the CQC could not yet be assured that improvements would be sustained.
