Florence Shipley Residential and Community Care Centre

Florence Shipley provides personal care to up to 32 people across four floors of a purpose-built building, supporting adults of all ages, including those living with dementia and people with mental health needs. The service offers dementia care, long and short-term residential care, and community specialist reablement services for people transitioning from acute hospital settings. Each floor features communal areas and outdoor balcony space.

People and their relatives reported feeling safe at the service. Staff recruitment was conducted safely with sufficient staffing levels to meet people's needs. Medicines were managed safely, and risks affecting daily life were regularly monitored and assessed. Staff training was relevant and up to date. The service conducted thorough needs assessments before people began using it. People received support to eat and drink a balanced diet with choices of meals, snacks and drinks available.
