Florence Grogan House Residential Care Home

Florence Grogan House accommodates up to 40 people in purpose-built premises, including a specialist unit for ten people living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 31 people were residing at the home. The service provides personal care but does not offer nursing care.

Residents and their relatives reported feeling safe and happy with the care provided, noting that staff were consistently available to respond to their needs. Inspectors observed this responsiveness firsthand. The home maintains effective safeguarding processes, with staff demonstrating clear understanding of referral procedures. Staff recruitment practices are safe and staff possess the necessary skills to meet residents' needs. People are protected through risk assessments covering both their individual support requirements and environmental hazards.
