Fairmount

Fairmount is a purpose-built residential service for up to six people with learning disabilities and complex care needs, including autism. The home is located in a residential area with wheelchair accessibility throughout, including the garden. At the time of inspection, six people were living at the service, though one was temporarily in hospital.

People at Fairmount are supported daily to make choices about their food, clothing, and activities. The service provides opportunities to help residents gain independence and develop new skills. Staff have identified health and safety risks and implemented measures to minimize them while keeping restrictions on daily life to a minimum. Staff understand how to respond if anyone is at risk of harm or discrimination, and the service manages incidents and accidents effectively. Medicine procedures and systems are robust and well-maintained.
