Doveridge Care Home

Doveridge Care Home accommodates up to 20 older people, many living with dementia, in a two-storey adapted building in Colyton, East Devon. At inspection, 17 residents lived there. Staff demonstrated strong infection control practices, having received up-to-date training and correctly using personal protective equipment in line with current guidance. The home maintained high cleaning standards with increased attention to frequent touch points like door handles and light switches. Regular testing of staff and residents followed government protocols, and all visitors were screened for COVID-19 symptoms and tested before visits. Staff actively supported residents with social distancing and handwashing practices, and when visitor restrictions were in place, they facilitated contact between residents and their families to maintain important relationships.
