Daffodil Lodge

This residential care home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 32 older people and those living with dementia, with 19 residents at the time of inspection. Inspectors found that the environment was not consistently clean and suitably maintained, and staff did not always use language that upheld people's dignity. However, residents were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches in their best interests. The home's policies and systems supported this practice.

Medicines were stored, managed and administered correctly as prescribed. People were kept safe and protected from abuse and avoidable harm, with the management team identifying and documenting risks to support staff. Staff followed appropriate infection prevention and control procedures for COVID-19 and other infections.
