Crelake House Residential Care Home

Crelake House is a residential care home providing personal care for older people, with capacity for 27 residents. At inspection, 21 people lived at the service. Staff demonstrated strong safeguarding awareness and knew how to report concerns, protecting residents from abuse and harm. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet residents' needs, with staff possessing appropriate knowledge and experience. Care records were individualised and reflected each person's needs and risks.

Medicine administration followed prescriptions correctly, and staff maintained good infection control practices with access to appropriate protective equipment. Recruitment procedures were safe and staff received induction and training to meet health and care requirements. The home liaised effectively with health and social care professionals to support residents' wellbeing. Residents were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible and in residents' best interests.
