Churchfield Court

Churchfield Court is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care to older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC found the service requires improvement overall. Risks to people's health were not always managed effectively, legal authorisations for restrictions on people's freedom had not always been sought, and staffing levels did not always meet people's preferences.

Provider audits were not always effective at spotting these issues.

Inspectors found staff were kind, caring and safely recruited, working well with healthcare professionals and respecting people's individual, cultural and religious needs. People felt safe and confident raising concerns, and spoke positively about the management team, though some felt activities and mealtime choices could improve.
