Chessel Avenue is a care home for people with mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism. At the time of inspection, five people were living at the home in an adapted building with bedrooms, shared living spaces and a garden.

The home had considered each person's individual risks related to COVID-19 and supported them to understand how to keep themselves safe both in the home and in the community. The manager demonstrated a good understanding of capacity and helped people make decisions related to COVID-19, including testing and vaccination.
