Chard Manor

Chard Manor provides personal care for up to 10 people with autism, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. At the time of inspection, all 10 places were occupied. The service demonstrated a commitment to supporting residents with choice and control over their lives, using the least restrictive approaches and acting in their best interests. Care was personalised around each person's individual needs and wishes, with staff trained appropriately to provide support.

Residents appeared relaxed and comfortable with their staff team, whom they knew and trusted, though some had been affected by recent staff changes. The home's policies and systems supported person-centred care practices that respect residents' dignity, equality, and independence.
