Chamarel

This care home accommodates up to seven people with learning disabilities in one adapted building. During inspection, all seven available places were occupied. The service demonstrated strong infection prevention and control practices, including effective visitor management systems aligned with government guidance and adequate personal protective equipment available to staff. Contact with family, friends and healthcare professionals was maintained through telephone calls to protect residents' wellbeing while minimising cross-contamination risks. Individual risk assessments were completed for people and staff at increased infection risk, with isolation capacity available when needed. The premises were consistently clean, well-maintained and free from odours and clutter.
