About Burridge Farm

Burridge Farm is a residential care home in Devon, providing accommodation and personal care for people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Burridge Farm provides accommodation and personal care for up to six people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder. The two-storey farmhouse in the countryside near Sandford has five bedrooms and communal areas, with an additional annexe providing separate living space for one resident. Despite its remote location, staff and available vehicles ensure residents can access the local community.

The home deliberately maintains a non-institutional appearance, with no identifying signs or cameras, and staff avoid wearing uniforms when accompanying residents in the community.

At this inspection, the service demonstrated improved compliance with consent requirements, addressing a previous regulatory breach. Residents appeared relaxed and happy, with staff showing attentiveness and understanding of individual needs. The home supports people with learning disabilities and autism effectively within its countryside setting.
