Burnt Tree Croft

Burnt Tree Croft is a residential care home in Sheffield providing accommodation and personal care to up to 40 older adults, including people living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding that medicines were not always managed safely, putting people at significant risk of harm, and that governance systems were not robust enough to properly monitor and improve care. The provider was found in breach of regulations on both counts.

Inspectors also found positive aspects of care: staff were caring, knowledgeable and understood safeguarding well, staffing levels were sufficient, and infection control had improved since the last inspection. People and relatives spoke positively about cleanliness and communication, though one relative raised a concern about a delay in fixing a broken towel rail.
