Burnside Court

Burnside Court provides accommodation and personal care for up to 26 older adults living with dementia and/or sensory impairments. At the time of the assessment, 25 people were living at the home. The CQC rated the service requires improvement overall, though some previous concerns around staff recruitment and environmental safety had been resolved.

Inspectors found ongoing breaches relating to safe care and treatment, staffing levels and governance, including gaps in risk management, medication disposal and quality monitoring systems. Despite this, people and relatives spoke positively about feeling safe and well cared for, describing staff as compassionate and the management team as approachable and accessible.
