About Brookland House

Brookland House is a residential care home in Plymouth, providing personal care without nursing for people with physical and learning disabilities. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Brookland House is a small care home providing personal care, without nursing, for up to three people with physical and learning disabilities. At the time of the assessment, two people lived there, each with their own bedroom, bathroom and lounge/dining area.

The CQC found staff had the right skills and knowledge, with enough of them on duty to meet people's needs safely. Care was person-centred, respectful and promoted dignity and independence. The home remained rated good overall, though inspectors found some shortfalls in leadership and management, which needed improvement.
