Belgrave Lodge

Belgrave Lodge is a care home for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. The CQC focused this assessment on safeguarding and the home's learning culture, and found people were kept safe and free from unwarranted restriction. Staff knew people well, understood how to recognise and report abuse, and worked closely with outside agencies who spoke positively about the care provided.

Inspectors found people were treated with kindness and respect, and had as much choice and control over their lives as possible, with risks managed to minimise restrictions. Overall the home was rated Good, though the safe area was rated Requires Improvement.
