Beech House - Binfield

Beech House provides personal care and support for up to 31 older people with varying care needs, with 28 residents at the time of inspection. The service operates from a converted residence offering single en-suite rooms across two floors. Staff actively support residents to maintain contact with family and friends through telephone and video calls, as well as facilitating in-person visits designed to minimize infection risk through garden meetings and screened visits accessed directly from the car park. The service uses an electronic system enabling families to create personalized newsletters featuring photographs and updates about activities—such as garden flowers or grandchildren's artwork—that are shared individually with residents.

The service maintains robust infection control measures including COVID-19 isolation plans and readily available personal protective equipment throughout the home. A meet and greet protocol screens all visitors, utilizing automated temperature cameras and mask detection systems, with hand sanitiser and PPE provided as needed.
